Frozen
Treasure Hunter is a
co-operative exercise video game. Two players must work together to
collect treasure scattered throughout the world. Enemies will defend the
treasure by throwing snowballs at the players.
The game is played
with a recumbent bicycle, gamepad, and Wii remote and Nunchuk. Both
players control a single robotic avatar. One player is responsible for
movement and steering by pedaling a recumbent bicycle and using a gamepad
(adapted from Life is a Village). The other
player must physically swing the Wii remote and Nunchuk to swat away
harmful snowballs.
Experiments
performed with this game revealed that both exercisers and non-exercisers
found the game to be enjoyable and engaging.
This game was
built off of the game skeleton Life is a Village. I acted as the lead
